Following my little spat with HBV last week I threw down a challenge which he has warmly embraced and has not filled his posts with profanities and other such language. It has made his insights, which I do not always agree with, much better and easier to read.Three cheers for HBV:
Hip-hip-hooray!!!
Hip-hip-hooray!!!
Hip-hip-hoooooorrrraaaaayyy!!!!!!!!!!
Btw I take no credit whatsoever for changing someones life.

danny, we should set you a similar challenge to see if you can get through a whole thread without mentioning:
1. that radio station in west limerick you`re always plugging
2. your long standing grievences about the granagh-ballingarry merger
change the record

danny iv no problem with lads telling me im an asshole as you did but to have go at me for language was totally hypocritical of you.
the amount of sh1te you go on with i can deal with but you are a total `do as i say not as i do man`.
despite that im willing to overlook the fact you may possibly be a clown of some degree and say let bygones be bygones or whatever...for the sake of the county!

In fairness to ya, highball, your imagery is top drawer. I`ve just read the Lmk manager thread there and really enjoyed your `camel with a crowbar up his hole` comment. Priceless. Hope you and long danny don`t give up talking to each other. It`s lads like ye that keep the rest of us Limerick lads laughing when times are tough. And by God, are times tough at the moment.

Let me just say that little radio station in west limerick does more for local GAA than all other stations put together including local commercial broadcasters. So if plugging it is a sin then I stand guilty, your honour.
My long standing grievance with the other side of Ballingarry Granagh parish should not bother you unduly but seeing as you know so much about it you obviously read my threads, thanks for that. However I have to concede that the decision was reached democratically like the latest treaty but unlike that result there is no push to have it overturned, so be it.
My record speaks for itself.
HBV I will not have you lecturing me about hypocricy your antics are well known, you told us about them. Now where is the profanity in that?

I too enjoyed the "camel with a crowbar up his hole" comment.
But, I think the funniest highball post was the one about Tommy Walsh jumping out of the ditch to help a fella (was it a man who drinks with highball`s uncle ) change a wheel in his car, your man then wanted to give Tommy money for sweets (I think ) , but being the decent man he is Tommy declined, and jumped back into the ditch - hilarious.
Apologies for crucifying your story highball - the original was funny though.

I`d say it`s yourself that’s back in school, I had you down as a junior cert but judging from the time of this post and your vocabulary I`d say it`s National School, posting up comment and running away form an argument you can`t win.
Bok Bok Bok Bok Bok, thats how you spell the chicken noise by the way

Hear Hear As Baile. HBV is hilarious and frequently hits the nail on the head. Times are indeed tough for us of The Great Treaty City, and HBV brings the laughs back the minute he arrives on site. His comments to premier ``girl`` about never minding the England captaincy and to sort out the Tipp one were just hilarious, as were his remarks about Tipp fans in the City End at the Munster Final tanked up on Dutch Gold. He`s just calling it as he sees it.
``I`d say HBV was back to school there yesterday.

Premiergirl I thought you`d still be in hiding along with the rest of Tipp after the treble went up in smoke there recently. All the same ye have some brass necks, showing yer faces around here after those two implosions in the semis. And again I ask you, thong, g-string or big knickers?

I hail originally from the fine village of Ballingarry but have long since departed those shores. Let me sum up the grievance like this and in no particular order-the pitch is in Ballingarry, the money to put the pitch there was raised predominately in Ballingarry, the majority of players are from Ballingarry, the parish name is Ballingarry-Granagh, the colour of the gates were in Ballingarry colours and changed to accomodate the Granagh contingent, as a youngster I forfeited my place to players from Granagh, the camogie club use the facilities call themselves Granagh-Ballingarry and wear black and white, Ballingarry is the much bigger side of the parish but yet the club is called Granagh-Ballingarry. The tail wagging the dog, you see. As I said I have long since departed those shores and now have virtually no reason to go back as I have no relations there that I would know very well. It is a changed place that is big enough to stand on its own two feet and not be dictated to by a clique on the other side of Knockfierna. Maybe in time the name will be changed to a much more acceptable Ballingarry-Granagh or just Ballingarry on its own. I am a member of a fine club in the west who provide me with plenty entertainment and two sons who managed to get their place on the team without the influence of daddy.
Btw I need to change a post I made last week I should have said Miller 1910 was the most annoying poster not poor auld HBV. I suppose now that there will be another referendum he will want to start preaching again.

Danny , to be fair to those around here who don`t know either Granagh or Ballingarry too well they would assume from your last post that your grievance is more with Granagh than Ballingarry . Think you should clarify this , if it is thats fine, but to be fair Ballingarry obviously had the much bigger population and at the time of joining would / should have been in a beter position to stand on their own two feet and survive as a club than Granagh .
What i`m saying is that you need to clarify, are you mad with Ballingarry for joining Granagh or do you think Granagh pulled a stroke in Joining ye ?
A lot of young lads from Granagh lost their places to fellas from Ballingarry too so that side of things cuts both ways .

my sentiments exactly.
the rest of it is just a cover confirmed by the following
`I am a member of a fine club in the west who provide me with plenty entertainment and two sons who managed to get their place on the team without the influence of daddy.`
in other words danny was the number 15 on the under 14 team until a few decent players became available at which time he was shuttled off to the bench. his sons are actually talented (probably from the mothers side ) and so get a game.

Waves a magic wand
Empty out your pockets
Words without a song
I myself have found
A real rival in myself
I am hoping for
The re-arrival of my health
Sleeping eye sockets
Baby suck your thumb
I`ll keep you in my locket
A string I never strum
It`s become so obvious
You are so oblivious to yourself
I`m tied in a knot
But I`m not
Gonna get caught
Calling a pot kettle black
Every song`s a comeback
Every moment`s a little bit later
Lazy locomotives
Wherever you may roll
I think you have no motive
I know you have no home
It`s become so obvious
You are so oblivious to yourself
I`m tied in a knot
But I`m not
Gonna get caught
